Winter Skills Weekends
This short course is aimed at the novice winter hillwalker or anyone who feels that it's time for an update. Course topics: Safe movement on snow and ice; Use of ice-axe self-arrest techniques; Avalanche awareness; Winter terrain awareness. Package includes 2 nights' accommodation and 2 days on the hill with a qualified leader, evening lectures, transport from and back to Stirling (if required), free use of technical equipmnet, and ice axe and crampons. |
